Welcome to the Early Years at St John's!

 

At St John's we have two Nursery classes and two Reception classes. Our classes are named after animals, with a bear theme.

Nursery: Bear Cubs

Reception: Brown Bears and Polar Bears

 

 

All the EYFS classes have an indoor learning environment and access to their own outdoor areas, covering all seven areas of learning, and are accessed on a daily basis.

 

At St John's we plan 'in the moment' as well as covering the seasons of the year, celebrations and festivals and also lots of mini themes. These are started with an 'I wonder' question and the learning that is planned is based on children's interests, observations of their learning and things we want our children at St John's to learn and experience.
