Governance

Welcome to our Governors’ section. 

 

Our aim is to provide all of the children within our community with a happy, safe and stimulating environment where every one of them are given the self belief, tools and guided to achieve their full potential.

 

The Governing Body is made up of people either live or work within the local community. We include parents, school staff, community professionals and representatives of the church.

 

Working together, we are responsible for the overall direction of the school but not the day-to-day running of the school, this we leave to and trust in the professionalism and experience of the Headteacher and the rest of the school staff. We are responsible for setting the school budget and agreeing school policies and procedures.

 

Most importantly, we work with the Headteacher and staff acting as a ‘critical friend’, offering support, advice and – when needed - asking challenging questions to help the school achieve the very highest standards.
