We take bullying very seriously at St John’s CE Primary School.
Some of our children have been trained as anti-bullying ambassadors with The Diana Award. This is something we are very proud of in school and congratulate those pupils who took part.
The Diana Award is a training provider who uses resources and supports people who are experiencing bullying behaviour, those who want to support someone who is experiencing bullying behaviour and for people like our school, who are passionate about promoting an Anti-Bullying culture and communities of kindness.
In February 2022, 20 children took part in a one-day anti-bullying training session held by The Diana Award. They worked together and acquired vital skills to enable them to change the attitudes and behaviours of bullying in school by building their skills and confidence to address different situations, both online and off.
Over the next 12 months these skills are to be explored and developed - look out for updates of their progress.
Mr Barton takes a leading role with our Anti-Bullying work, however, if you are ever concerned that your child is being bullied, please talk to the class teacher or a senior member of staff.
Our Anti-Bullying Policy can be found on our Policies page.
