We had an exciting evening at the local football tournament held at Duffield Meadows. The team played some lovely soccer and showed great team work.
Sports Hall Athletics
We were very happy to take KS1, year 3/4 and year 5/6 teams to compete in the local sportshall athletics competitions in October. Excelling in multiple events in both the track and field categories, our superstars took on the long jump, chest push, speed bounce and several individual and team races. The children did brilliantly well and should be proud of their contribution to what was some great competition and fun filled evenings.
We attended the KS1 and LKS2 gymnastics competitions. The teams had spent hours preparing and learning the routines: body management, floor routine and the vault. Both teams represented the school with their great effort and commitment. The LKS2 team were awarded for their efforts with a 4th place and the KS1 team were announced as the Champions. Well done to all involved.
We took an enthusiastic dance squad to the dance platform that was held at David Nieper Academy. The squad had given up many of their lunch times to learn and practice the routine. On the night they were very brave and performed their dance brilliantly on the big stage in front of a huge audience. We are very proud of the whole dance squad, well done everyone!
Keep an eye out here for sports events we are attending.
We are really lucky to have some amazing opportunities coming up for the sporting enthusiasts at our school. Gymnastics competitions, cross country, netball(High 5), kwik cricket, to name but a few. And we are looking forward to having them represent us at the competitions this year. Good Luck all!
