My name is Zoe Lister and I am the Senior Learning Mentor at St John’s Primary School. I am responsible for assisting with safeguarding issues, mentoring pupils, attendance, punctuality and developing relationships with parents and carers.
I work with pupils, families and other professionals, both within and outside of school, in order to assist pupils whose barriers to learning prevent them achieving their full learning potential.
Pupils can be highlighted for mentoring support for a variety of different reasons, including:
Additionally, I assist families with any issues they may have regarding their own social and emotional wellbeing, signposting them if necessary to agencies who can assist them, such as the parent partnership, children’s centres and healthcare professionals.
If you are experiencing any difficulties with which you would like my support, including attendance and/or punctuality, please pop in to see me or catch me at the gate.
If you would like to discuss further support options or anything relating to your family’s needs, please do not hesitate to call me on 01773 742457. Alternatively, you can pop into school on any of my working days which are currently Monday - Wednesday and Friday.
My name is Sarah Curzon and I am the Children and Family Support Worker at St Johns Primary School.
As part of my role I offer support to children and families both at school and in the home environment. This includes support around behaviour, routines and any emerging early help needs. I am also responsible for working with families to improve attendance and offer support around emotional well-being. As part of my role as Designated Safeguarding Lead, I am able to offer support to families by completing Early Help Assessments in order to access services available from other agencies.
In school, I work closely with Miss Lister - Senior Learning Mentor in order to provide effective direct work with children who are in need of additional support.
I am available for all children and families who feel they may need support, whether I can offer early intervention strategies or signposting to external agencies. Some of the support needs that I can help with may be:
• Mental Health and well-being support
• Referrals for further agency support e.g. welfare benefits check, housing support.
• Bereavement support
• Parenting advice and signposting for further programmes/courses
• Behavioural concerns
If you would like to discuss further support options or anything relating to your family’s needs, please do not hesitate to call me on 01773 742457. Alternatively, you can pop into school on any of my working days which are currently Monday - Thursday.
