Values

As a Church of England School our Christian Values are hugely important, and every half term we focus on a different value within Collective Worship.  The value links in with the season of the Church Year.

The value for Autumn 2 is 'Compassion'. Over the next half term we will be focussing our Collective Worships under the value of compassion. Compassion is a feeling of deep sympathy accompanied by a strong desire to help. Christians believe that their attitudes and actions must reflect kindness, mercy and compassion of Jesus and love of God for everyone. We will be exploring the different ways compassion can be shown and stories of compassion in the Bible and around the world.

"Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." Colossians 3:12

We encourage our children to reflect on our school value at home and talk about it as a family.

The value for Autumn 1 is 'Generosity'. Over the next half term we will be focussing our Collective Worships under the value of generosity. We will be exploring what real generosity is, the different ways generosity can be shown and stories of generosity in the Bible and around the world.

"God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7

Value Trophy

Within school, we have a value trophy, whereby if your child shows our terms value at home, their name will be placed in the draw to share in collective worship with a chance to win the trophy.

In order to be entered into the draw, parents/carers are asked to message Mrs Foulke, using Class Dojo, with their child's name and what they have done to to show their understanding of the term's value.
